Two unlikely people meet and through their common interests of art they fall in love. Ben is a sculptor and Pamela loves to sketch and use pastels. Ben is working on Pamela's father's land where she becomes interested in what he is sculpting and can't help herself but inquire as to what he is creating. Each day she comes to see how the work progresses and they continue with their conversation. Then one day when her father came to pay them a man came being very belligerent towards Mr Smith. Ben warned Pamela not to trust the man, and come to him if she must. Pamela overheard conversation between her father and the guest where he wanted to take her and use her to sell her body. She runs to find Ben, but he had went to see the Queen of the Selkie and when he returned he and his brother's was arrested.
