Trouble in paradise

Jay seems to find trouble even when he is not looking for it. Making him the hardest rock star to be captured by most fan girls. Looks like he's in big time trouble. Learning a lesson never advertise for email brides.

This series is a Wild Ride!

The Rock Star's Email Order Bride by Demelza Carlton is the second in the Romance Island Resort Series and captured my interest just as completely as the first one did. I couldn't find a good place to stop to go to sleep!
Readers should know that the series follows the journey and development of the Rock Star and other characters come and go. It is ingenious as a plot device - rather like a TV show with new guest stars in each episode for the Lead to interact with.
It is a testament to the writer's talent that this, in many ways unappealingly arrogant and immature protagonist hasn't turned me off the series. But there is something about his vulnerability, loneliness, and fears that is intriguing. I think the things I like about him the most -
(SPOILERS?)
is his refusal to give up on love, his assumption that, if something is wrong in his romantic relationships, it is either his fault or something he needs to figure out a way to fix, and his determination to find answers and advice in romance books! Those are pretty lovable qualities, right?!
Anyway, I very much recommend this series and can't wait to read the next - The Rock Star's Virginity (HA!)

Not what I expected, but good

With the way the first book left off, I was expecting more Jay and Audra. While Audra got a chapter near the beginning, that was not the case. Instead, there were two new female pov characters: Xan and Phuong. The romance in here was only with one of them and the other, while tied into the overall story and providing a nice perspective, seemed to be unnecessary. I can only guess that Jay will likely switch women again in the next book, though with the resolution in this one, I wonder what possibly is going to go wrong.
