Captivating!

I really enjoyed Maria's and William's reunion here. Maria has now accepted a new life as William's wife but also as a human. Not realising she has so much to learn as a high society wife now, she has many self-doubts and concerns about her future with William. I particularly enjoyed how Demelza wrote about Maria's insecurities but also how confident she is she can nail it.This book is filled with passion but also great tension between her life as a siren and her life as a human. I do hope we get to explore more about her life as a siren in the next book. Especially with her mother trying to get her back to the ocean. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to finishing this series.Received a copy from the author herself for an honest review and this does not affect my review or rating of the book thank you!

A good story overall.

A good story overall. The reuniting of Maria and William was enticing. Her introduction to Anne was mildly distressing. About a third of the way through, Maria's self-doubt detracted me so much that I took a long break before returning to finish the story. The threat from Maria's mother, which carries over from the first and second books, was seemingly continuous throughout the story. While this story has a satisfying end, there are ominous undertones.Entertaining. Haunting. Romantic. Scary. Steamy. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.
